I know you put this article up a long time ago but I decided to read it today and I found it really interesting. I love the idea of giving driver's a break on the highway and letting the car take over and helping drivers be more aware of their environment. This sounds really cool but I can't say I do not have concerns. Having the car tell you all this information about pedestrians and traffic could be overwhelming and I believe that a driver in the future will become less skilled. If there was ever an emergency, the driver might not be able to maneuver/ adjust to the obstacle because he or she is not accustom to having to do such things. Another concern is, what if the car malfunctions while you are on the highway and you did not realize soon enough because you were asleep or something? There are pros and cons to this advancement, but I think we should not take it too far. Driving skills are important and gives you responsibility. It seems as though as technology evolves and grows, humans are trying to relinquish more and more responsibility onto machines.
